As I told you before, Emma gets supplemental formula in addition to her nursings.
We have tried to wean her off some of the supplements since her growth chart looks like a vertical line at this point, but I feel I should mention that the only time our laid back baby is not quite so laid back is when you get between her and her food. It’s funny, because she’s not one to cry too much if she’s hungry and there isn’t food in front of her, but once she starts eating, you had better not try to stop her until she’s ready to pop. She pretty much starts sobbing if you take away her bottle before she has gorged herself to the point of leaking milk, so we’re not making much progress with cutting back. And who would want to see crying instead of this face?
Okay, so she’s not always beaming.
Sometimes it’s just a 25% smile.
But usually, it’s open-mouthed joy.
