Last night while reading books:
Daddy: “Greetings, Statue of Liberty, standing tall for what is right.” [From an over-the-top cheesy patriotic book that Michael bought her while on a trip to DC. She really likes this book, though.]
Mommy: That’s the Statue of Liberty, Lily. [Pointing.] It’s in New York City.
Lily: Like Plex [the Robot]! Electricity.
I know it’s not usually funny if you have to explain the joke and maybe you had to be there, but this cracked us up.
