After running for a while, she stopped and said:
“My tummy hurts. I ran out of batteries.”

L: Close your eyes. You can do anything. Use imagination. (Pronounced with a hard “g”.)

Lily attends a library program every Tuesday called Mother Goose on the Loose. She loves it, but has really outgrown much of the content and lately has just been running through the middle of the circle of babies yelling, “You runnin’ so fast!” The only thing that holds her interest is a cat puppet that one of the librarians (Amber) lets her hold AFTER class is over. The entire class time, Lily doesn’t see anything wrong with walking up to Amber mid-song and reminding her that Lily gets to hold the kitty after class. When the class was finally over on Tuesday and Lily got to hold the kitty, she said to Amber:
L: Didn’t have a puppy. Just have a kitty. Maybe you get one for Christmas. Maybe I buy you one.
(With Lily’s pronoun confusion, she may have been asking Amber to buy HER one, but I’ll choose to interpret it the way she said it. Isn’t she a sweetie?)
