And for my mom (who has indicated a need for “more Lily” because I have been slacking off on my posting lately) and for anyone else with 4 minutes to kill and a genetic relation to Ms. Lily, here is the ENTIRE video from this morning. A day in the life.
Last week, I tried to count Lily’s “words” that she uses spontaneously, and gave up after 150. The majority of them are words that only Michael or I would really understand (i.e. “ri ri” = “ride”) as she doesn’t finish most of her words, but I am amazed at how much she is trying to communicate these days. Most of her words are nouns, but two of her favorite words are ride and sit, and she is always telling her babies and other toys to ride another toy or to sit somewhere. She’s a bit obsessed with this.
For example, here she is trying to get Gracie to ride on this matchbox car.
Hey, I said her vocabulary was impressive. I never said anything about her comparative spatial skills.
When that doesn’t work out…(ummm…has anyone seen my car?)…
…she does go for a smaller baby.
Not that we always have 5 or 6 babies within reach at all times around here.
That would be ridiculous.
