Operation T.O.B.Y.

Last week, we had the pleasure of helping Toby McVeigh reunite with his parents and brand new baby sister.

Speaking of…

After we picked up Toby in Gaffney, we brought him home for a few hours until his daddy could come and get him.  Lily was thrilled to have the chance to visit with a genuine “pup pup,” and followed him around insisting that he drink more water for pretty much his entire visit.  She seemed to be very concerned about his hydration levels, but Toby took her bossiness in stride.  He was AMAZINGLY well behaved around the even-higher-than-normal levels of toys strewn about the house, but he did have a little trouble resisting Lily’s graham cracker snack on the way home from Gaffney.  Lily just kept asking for more crackers from the backseat, as Mr. Toby slurped them up as quickly as I could hand them back.  Fortunately, the snack cup of goldfish thwarted further attempts at snack-snatching!

I thought it was cute how she started crawling after him, when she NEVER crawls anymore.

This video is long (and, thus, probably only interesting if your child – furry or otherwise – is actually in the video), but here is pretty much how the whole visit went:

Toby is such a sweet dog, and I’m sure he will be a wonderful big brother to baby Ruby.  We are so happy for the McVeighs that they are finally all together!
