So it’s a bit of a stretch, but I’d like to talk about rain.
And parades.
They are entirely unrelated, but through the magic of titling this post, I have now linked them together to save you from having to skip past 2 separate posts in your quest to find whatever it is you’re here to find, be it videos of Lily’s dance moves or pictures of her in her awesome glasses.
First off, let’s talk about rain.
Lily has a friend named Emery whose mama, Sarah, is one of those awesome, spontaneous mamas who lets her daughter play in the rain, smear cool whip all over the table as “art,” and just generally be a kid in the most fun ways possible.
Lily has one of those mamas who tries to let Lily have fun, but literally has to sit on her hands when the blueberry juice goes flying.
Through getting to know Sarah and Emery, I have tried to stop and ask myself, at times, “What would Sarah do?” If the answer is, “well, Sarah would let Emery pile mulch on top of her head,” then I sometimes try to let Lily pile mulch on top of her head.
In the spirit of “What would Sarah do?” Michael took Lily out to play in the rain in May. At first, Lily said, “no no no,” but she quickly warmed up to the idea once she realized she could stomp in the water in the gutters.
Fun fun!

On an entirely unrelated note (see above for info about how my title exempts me from having to provide a segue), Lily also went to a parade in May.
It was some sort of Scottish parade.
Prince Something-or-other was supposed to be there, but we never saw him.
Aren’t I just a fount of knowledge?
Lily’s favorite part was waving at Miss South Carolina.
Hi there! Here are all 3 of us. What a rare sight!
