Lily and I went to a charity event/festival last week a week or so ago, and Lily go to meet Cocky (the University of South Carolina’s mascot if you’re not into college sports and don’t live in the south). He’s a vicious fighting gamecock (that’s a rooster for those of you who are not into competitive farmyard sports, and that’s a chicken for those of you who are 1).
Ummmm…anyway, Lily was quite intrigued, and I just had to get a picture for Michael of Lily with Cocky. Unfortunately, Lily was SO intrigued that she absolutely refused to look away from Cocky and look at the camera, so we have a series of pictures just like this:
And then one really creepy one with the Clemson tiger behind me trying to ruin a child’s keepsake photograph.
Tsk, tsk, Mr. Tiger. For shame.
Michael made one of the pictures his background on his phone and computer, and Lily has loved looking at “Cah-cah” on his phone every day. This past weekend, Michael watched baseball games on the computer but piped it through the TV. It was so cute, Lily would walk over and kiss the TV under both me and Cocky…
…and then repeatedly point at Cocky saying, “Cah-cah” over and over again.
Ahhhh…enjoy it while you can, babe. The chicken curse is a tough cross to bear. :-)
