Greetings, readers! I just wanted to apologize for the delay in posting additional…um…posts. I had every intention of sending out a bunch more updates, but 1) our internet went out RIGHT after I posted the last post (literally right afterwards…as in I wanted to log on to fix a typo right after I published, and I couldn’t get on), 2) I am doing some part-time work for my old professor from USC and I received some stuff I had to work on yesterday, and 3) we’re leaving tonight for NC so I’m FREAKIN’ OUT like I always do before a trip.
Okay, maybe not freaking out so much as madly scrambling around the house trying to pack absolutely everything inside because oh-my-goodness wouldn’t it be a tragedy if I forgot to bring Lily’s bath towel (because our hosts surely won’t have any towels) or fewer than 200 diapers (because I hear they don’t have any stores in the Raleigh area).
Ummm…right.
Anyway, as most of the contents of our house are now safely ensconced in my car, I have just enough time to write to you and tell you why I do not have time to write to you. :-)
In case you’re wondering (and I know, dear reader, you must be on the very edge of your seat), we’re going to North Carolina to stay with our dear friends Wes and Carrie Cole for a few days. It just so happens, that the USC-NC State game is also tomorrow, and will be taking place mere minutes from the Cole compound (it’s not really a compound, I imagine, but I like alliteration). Anyhow, we figure that since we’re in the area at the same time as the game (what are the odds?!), Michael and Wes may as well wander over to the stadium. Carrie has graciously agreed to skip the game to hang out with me and Little Miss Lily. Yay, Carrie!
We are super-excited to see the Coles (who we haven’t seen in FOREVER), and we’ll also get to see our friends Caroline (and her baby Camille, who is a week or two younger than Lily) and Kate (and her baby Clara, who is a week or two older than Lily). How fun!
Okay – well I’m off to go get the babe so that we can run to the grocery store, because now is CLEARLY the time for me to go buy her some new lotion! ;-)
In closing, I’ll paste in a bunch of pictures that I owe you, with the ongoing promise that I will write descriptions and stories soon.
Bye for now!
Love,
Kristin “Constantly-overwhelming-people-with-my-wordiness-since-1980” Bogle

I NEVER get pictures of me and Lily, so I decided to take one with the remote on the camera. Ummm…I sort of forgot to get out of my pajamas first. Note my fancy nursing tank. So elegant…

At least someone doesn’t care how not fancy I am!

Prunes…yum! Daddy would not approve of Mommy’s feeding style (i.e. letting Lily touch the spoon)!
